Healing at Home Following a Sports Activity

OASIS OF HEALING

1/1/20251 min read

We were at home, an ordinary day, and my nephew (Nina) walked past me on his way to his mother.

My nephew: “Mom, I need a painkiller.”

I grabbed him by the arms and brought him toward me, asking, “Do you want me to pray for you?”

My nephew: Yes.

Me: “Where does it hurt?”

My nephew: My back.

Me: “What happened?”

My nephew: “I hurt myself while playing sports.”

Me: “Is it possible that you pushed yourself more than necessary, maybe even realizing you were overdoing it?”

My nephew: Yes.

Me: “You know your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and you need to take care of it, right?”

My nephew: Yes.

Me: “Do you want to speak to the Holy Spirit, ask for forgiveness, and promise to be more careful?”

My nephew: Yes.

He prayed.

When he finished, I placed my hand on him, cast out the pain, and thanked the Lord.

He was already walking away. I stopped him again.

Me: “How are you feeling?”

My nephew: “Fine, I don’t hurt anymore.”

Me: “Are you sure?”

My nephew: “Yes.”

Hallelujah!

We thanked God, and everyone went back to their activities.

God wants to do the same for you!
